Casting Stone is a premium plaster-based material specially formulated for strength, detail and a smooth, beautiful finish. It allows us to capture every intricate detail in our designs, creating pieces that are not only stunning, but also strong and durable.

Why we chose Casting Stone

At Moulded With Love, we have done a lot of testing — and I mean a LOT — of different materials to find the best results for our customers.

We chose Casting Stone because it is naturally stronger than Plaster of Paris, less chalky and less brittle. But we didn’t stop there. To make sure we deliver the best possible product, each batch is mixed with an additive that significantly increases its strength.

Casting Stone is also less absorbent than Plaster of Paris and, when in its slurry form, provides a much smoother pour. This smooth consistency allows us to use more intricate moulds and capture fine detail, resulting in a beautiful, high-definition finish across our designs.

The finished surface is also less porous, making painting our figurines an absolute joy. So whether you’ve bought an Activity Kit for the little ones, a 3D figurine for yourself to paint, or one of our already sealed Home Décor pieces, you can have confidence that every product has been made using carefully selected raw materials, then moulded, finished and packed with love for you to enjoy.

A Little note about Handmade

♡ Every Moulded with Love piece is hand-poured, hand -finished and made with care.

♥ Because of this, tiny variations and imperfections can sometimes occur – such as small air bubbles, slight texture differences or subtle variations in shape and finish.

♡ And that’s part of the charm of handmade. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.

♡ Please also note that due to raw materials, dyes, curing times and temperature coloured pieces may vary slightly from the colours shown on our website.
